This is what real bruises are like

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

What I feel like I want to do is strap my right arm up close to my chest, so I'm not moving it around or rather, there is no opportunity for me to move it. IT HURTS. In retrospect, the fact that I didn't break anything, and the fact that I'm left handed, and all the fucked-upness is on the right is incredibly lucky. Whilst my instinct is to strap up this semi-useless lump hanging off my shoulder for a few days, my sensible self is saying use it gently because strapping it up will make it go all funny. I really don't actually know if that's true, but since no bones are broken, I cannot justify going to the docs and saying "I have a hurty arm", because they will say "Oh".

Pain killers just don't seem to be working in any capacity. I'm plastering Arnica cream on the bugger, and I'm presuming that that's doing something. Meanwhile, the rest of my body still feels like I got beaten up, but that's all very non-specific.

It'll be better in a few days.

One thing I have noticed is that i've got a vaguely sore bit on the front of my head, above the left eyebrow, about a ping pong ball size in diameter. No bruises as yet, but I know I bumped my head when I fell. Maybe I also clunked it against the handlebars. Fucking glad it's only a vaguely sore bit and nothing else. Ayeesh. I'm still getting a big fat flashback whenever I close my eyes. Just waiting for that to wear off.
